The Land Registry logged 5,510 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in December, down 28.3% compared with November and up 46.4% year-on-year.

The total consideration for such agreements in December dropped 33.3% from November to $42.8 billion, representing a 27.4% year-on-year growth.

Of the agreements, 4,103 were for residential units, amounting to a 34.9% decrease from November and a 40.1% surge from a year ago.

The total consideration for residential units was $32.6 billion, down 43.1% compared with November and up 33.9% year-on-year.

There were 326,943 land register searches last month.
