The Social Welfare Department today said it has organised a joint concession programme with local catering, retail and other merchants to offer special discounts and concessions for the elderly on Senior Citizens Day on November 17.

Over 1,800 restaurants, retail shops and service merchants will participate in the programme to offer discounts or other concessions to Senior Citizen Card holders for their purchases on that day.

Participating companies will display a publicity poster for the privileges on the day.

Details of the participating companies and special offers are available on the Senior Citizen Card Scheme mobile app and the departmental website.
