Secretary for Education Choi Yuk-lin will tomorrow begin a visit to the Mainland, where she will support a study tour in Jiangxi and give a speech at the 25th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education in Beijing.

In Ganzhou, Jiangxi, Ms Choi will attend a kick-off ceremony for the first Mainland study tour to the province for students of the Citizenship & Social Development subject.

She will also join an activity commemorating 60 years of Dongjiang supplying water to Hong Kong, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on co-operation in education between Jiangxi and Hong Kong.

After completing her schedule in Jiangxi, Ms Choi will travel to Beijing to deliver a keynote speech introducing the “Study in Hong Kong” brand at the abovementioned conference.  

Ms Choi will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon of October 31. During her absence, Under Secretary for Education Sze Chun-fai will be Acting Secretary.
