Kindergarten profiles issued online

October 14, 2024

The Education Bureau today released a web version of the latest profiles of kindergartens and childcare centres to assist parents in making informed choices for their children.

The dedicated website provides information on about 990 kindergartens and childcare centres in Hong Kong, including their approved fees for the 2024-25 school year, as well as identifying kindergartens that have joined the kindergarten education scheme.

The profiles of kindergartens under the scheme show their approved school fees after the deduction of government subsidies, as well as their quality review results.

All profiles on the website contain information on numbers of teaching staff; their professional qualifications, as well as those of the principal; enrolment; reference prices of major school items; application and registration fees; and more.

The profiles also include a column outlining any support given to non-Chinese speaking students and students with special needs.

The bureau said the profiles are also available in English to help parents of non-Chinese speaking children access information on kindergartens more easily and comprehensively.

Users can also download the profiles from a mobile app.
