The Land Registry logged 3,843 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in September, down 18.7% compared with August and down 1.3% year-on-year.
 
The total consideration for such agreements in September dropped 19.4% from August, to $27.7 billion, representing a 7.1% year-on-year reduction.
 
Of the agreements, 2,848 were for residential units, amounting to a 22.1% decrease from August and a 0.5% decrease from a year ago.
 
The total consideration for residential units was $20.8 billion, down 26.8% compared with August and down 8.5% year-on-year.
 
There were 355,009 land register searches last month.
