The Working Group on Patriotic Education, under the Constitution & Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee, today launched a new government TV Announcement in the Public Interest (API).

The one-minute API promotes the message "Love our Country, Love Hong Kong, Love our Community".

Adopting the Government's patriotic education theme song “Our Home”, the API showcases national achievements, as well as heartwarming clips and inspirational moments involving citizens.

The working group said it hopes the API will reach people from different walks of life and different age groups in society.

Besides national achievements in aerospace, and science and technology, the API includes footage of families helping and caring for each other, and hard-working young people. It also features Hong Kong athletes demonstrating perseverance, and disciplined forces personnel providing emergency services.

All the scenes depict a deep love and affection for our home, the working group added.

The API will be broadcast on various TV channels from today, and will be uploaded to the Information Services Department's website and its YouTube channel.
