Chief Executive John Lee and senior government officials attended a flag-raising ceremony this morning at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The Police Band performed at the ceremony and singers Chen Yong and Phoebe Tam sang the national anthem.

There was also a fly-past and a sea parade by the disciplined services.

Mr Lee, the officials and guests then attended the National Day reception in the Convention & Exhibition Centre.
