Boccia team claims 2 more medals

Chief Executive John Lee congratulated Hong Kong boccia team on winning two more medals at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

 

Hong Kong boccia athletes Tse Tak-wah and Ho Yuen-kei won a gold medal in the Boccia Mixed Pairs BC3 event, while Leung Yuk-wing and Cheung Yuen won a silver medal in the Boccia Mixed Pairs BC4 event.

 

Mr Lee noted that the four athletes performed at their best and showed superb skills with team spirit in the competitions. Among them, Leung Yuk-wing, who represents Hong Kong, China to participate in Paralympics for the sixth time, won a medal again. His achievements are remarkable.

 

“All Hong Kong people and I are proud of the outstanding performance and professionalism of the four athletes.”

 

Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung also congratulated these four Hong Kong boccia athletes.

 

Mr Yeung said the Hong Kong, China delegation stayed highly focused during competitions, demonstrating remarkable strategy and precision.

 

“I was so excited to personally watch the athletes strive for excellence in their respective mixed pairs events. The outstanding results are not only the hard-earned success of the athletes, but also the accomplishments of the coaches, medical and support teams."

 

The Hong Kong, China delegation has so far won eight medals - three gold, four silver and one bronze - at the Paris Paralympics.
