Kevin Yeung bound for Paris

Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung will depart for Paris, France tonight to cheer for Hong Kong athletes who are participating in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

 

Mr Yeung will meet with the Hong Kong, China Delegation in the Olympic Village in Paris and watch various events in which members of the team are competing.

 

During his stay, Mr Yeung will also officiate at the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Design on Stage at Maison&Objet 2024 and witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Cultural & Creative Industries Development Agency and the Safi Salons Francais ET Internationaux. The MoU covers co-operation in the field of design between Hong Kong and Paris.

 

In addition, the culture chief will meet Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode Executive President Pascal Morand, and other representatives of France’s art and design industry, to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

 

Mr Yeung will leave France to return to Hong Kong on September 8. During his absence, Under Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Raistlin Lau will be Acting Secretary.
