Secretary for Environment & Ecology Tse Chin-wan has expressed his profound sadness upon the death of Senior Field Assistant in the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department (AFCD) Lam Kin-wai.

While performing his duties today at Tai Mo Shan Country Park, Mr Lam’s right hand was injured and he later fell unconscious. He was subsequently admitted to hospital and certified dead.

Mr Tse said: “On behalf of the Environment & Ecology Bureau, I offer my deepest condolences to Mr Lam’s family. We will make every effort to provide necessary support and assistance to the family.”

Also grieving over the passing of Mr Lam, who had served the AFCD for 13 years, Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung said the Civil Service Bureau is in contact with the department to ensure every effort is made to help Mr Lam's family during this sad and difficult period.
