Chris Sun to visit Beijing

Secretary for Labour & Welfare Chris Sun will depart tomorrow for Beijing, where he will call on the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Security, and the Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office of the State Council.

 

While in Beijing, Mr Sun will also witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the deepening of talent exchanges and co-operation between Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau.

 

Additionally, he will meet representatives of the China Enterprise Confederation, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and the International Labour Organization Country Office for China and Mongolia.

 

Mr Sun will also call on local universities to meet their leaders, and will visit elderly facilities.

 

He will return to Hong Kong on the evening of August 28. In his absence, Under Secretary for Labour & Welfare Ho Kai-ming will be Acting Secretary.
