The Government today announced that real-name ticketing will be required for the purchase of tickets for the three performances by Mainland Olympians on August 30 and 31, with ticket sales starting at 10am on August 22.

The delegation of 2024 Paris Olympic Games Mainland Olympians will attend the Mainland Olympians Gala Show on August 30 and give two sports demonstrations on the morning of August 31.

Tickets will be available for $20 each from 10am on August 22 via the URBTIX website and mobile app (Android, HarmonyOS and iPhone/iPad versions). Citizens may also call 3166 1288 to buy the tickets.

There will be no concessionary tickets, and each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets at a time.

Ticket purchases for the gala show and the two sports demonstrations will be made through diversions on URBTIX, meaning ticket buyers can select only one of these events at a time.

When ticket sales begin, buyers can click the corresponding “Ticket Purchase” buttons for the respective event diversions to access the ticketing page of the selected event. The system will allocate seats for ticket buyers so self-selection of seats will not be available, and buyers will have 10 minutes to complete the transaction.

The full English name of each ticket holder will be printed on each ticket. Ticker buyers should prepare the information in advance.

Each ticket holder must present a proof of identity with photo that matches the name on the ticket for verification upon entry. Those who fail to do so will be denied admission with no refunds.

Ticket holders may not make unauthorised amendments to the information as printed on the ticket, or transfer the ticket for another person’s use.

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department said it does not authorise ticket purchases through any channel other than URBTIX, and members of the public who purchase or obtain unauthorised tickets may fall victim to fraud.

The department also reminded citizens to properly manage their personal data and avoid disclosing it arbitrarily to other people.

The Mainland Olympians Gala Show will be staged at 8pm to 9.30pm on August 30 at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium where badminton, gymnastics and table tennis demonstrations will be held from 9.30am to 11.30am on August 31.

Meanwhile, diving and swimming demonstrations are scheduled from 9.30am to 11.30am on August 31 at the Victoria Park Swimming Pool.
