SJ headed to SZ, Foshan
Secretary for Justice Paul Lam will lead a delegation on a three-day visit to Shenzhen and Foshan tomorrow.
The delegation will comprise about 20 representatives from the Hong Kong Bar Association, the Law Society of Hong Kong and related sectors.
Mr Lam will attend a conference in Shenzhen organised by the Department of Justice and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to promote Hong Kong's legal and dispute resolution services.
In Shenzhen and Foshan, the justice chief will meet government leaders over dinner and engage with federations of industry and commerce.
He will also call on enterprises to understand how Hong Kong professional talent can assist them in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by providing high-quality and diverse legal and professional services.
Mr Lam and the delegation will return to Hong Kong on Thursday. During his absence, Deputy Secretary for Justice Cheung Kwok-kwan will be Acting Secretary.
