The Government announced today that the income and asset limits under the Working Family Allowance Scheme have been raised starting from this month.

The new limits are applicable to all claim months from April 2024 to March 2025.

The scheme aims to support lower-income working families that are not on Comprehensive Social Security Assistance and have longer working hours.

It is designed to reward hard work, with the allowance being assessed on a monthly basis according to the income and working hours of each household.

Eligible children will also be granted a Child Allowance.

The claim period for applications covers the six months immediately before submission, and eligible households must submit an application for every claim period.
