Principal officials visit more families

Government principal officials today met more families in various districts to distribute gift bags in celebration of the Lunar New Year as part of a series of year-end care visits in the city's 18 districts co-ordinated by the Home Affairs Department.

 

Chief Secretary Chan Kwok-ki met Bangladeshi and Indian families living in Tsim Sha Tsui to learn about their daily lives and needs in Hong Kong. While Deputy Chief Secretary Cheuk Wing-hing called on the elderly and grassroots families in Lai Tak Tsuen, Tai Hang.

 
Meanwhile, Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong went to Shek Pai Wan Estate in Southern District to meet seniors living there.

 

Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung was in Central & Western District seeing elderly residents. Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Algernon Yau called on an elderly singleton and a grassroots family living in Kwai Chung.

 

At Sheung Tak Estate in Tseung Kwan O, Secretary for Development Bernadette Linn met singleton seniors and stopped by grassroots households.

 

The elderly living in Lung Hang Estate, Tai Wai, received a visit from Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Prof Sun Dong.

 

While Secretary for Labour & Welfare Chris Sun headed to Tai Po Market to call on elderly residents.

 

The principal officials will visit more grassroots families tomorrow to deliver Lunar New Year blessing bags and seasonal greetings.
