13k sign-ups for special poll stations
The Registration & Electoral Office announced today that it received 12,976 registrations for voting at Near Boundary Polling Stations (NBPSs) set up for the upcoming District Council Ordinary Election.
The arrangement was made to make it easier for electors living on the Mainland to cast their votes. Registration ended yesterday.
Electors who have registered to vote at NBPSs via an online system can cast their ballots at the relevant polling stations upon receipt of SMS and email notifications confirming their successful registration.
Voters can also check the information of the final polling station assigned to them on the Online Voter Information Enquiry System.
The 2023 District Council Ordinary Election will be held this Sunday. People who have registered to vote at an NBPS but have an itinerary change may call the Registration & Electoral Office at 2891 1001 to make appropriate arrangements.
