P1 admissions to be announced

November 17, 2023

The results of Primary 1 discretionary places for September 2024 will be released on November 20, the Education Bureau announced today.

Out of the 42,277 children applying for discretionary places in government and aided primary schools this year, 21,086 will be offered a place in such schools.

Among them, 11,138 have siblings studying or parents working at the schools they have applied to, while the remaining 9,948 are selected according to the Points System.

Parents should bring the parent's copy of the P1 application and check the results between 9am and 5pm next Monday at the school they have applied to.

As for parents who have activated their Primary One Admission e-platform (ePOA) account, they can check the results via the ePOA from 10am that day.

Registration of successful applicant children should be made on November 22 or 23.

Parents are encouraged to register using the  iAM Smart+ mobile app for more convenient services.
