Secretary for Transport & Logistics Lam Sai-hung will lead a delegation of Hong Kong Logistics Development Council members on a visit to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, tomorrow morning.

Mr Lam and the delegation will visit various facilities, including airport cargo systems and an intelligent logistics park, to learn about logistics developments in the country.

They will also meet representatives from Vietnam’s chambers of commerce and trade, with a view to promoting Hong Kong’s advantages as an international logistics hub, and strengthening logistics ties between Vietnam and Hong Kong.

In addition, Mr Lam will meet local government officials.

Mr Lam will return to Hong Kong in the evening of October 13. During his absence, Under Secretary for Transport & Logistics Liu Chun-san will be Acting Secretary.
