HK revels in mid-autumn festivities

September 29, 2023

After the heat of summer, it is that time of year again when family and friends congregate in a spirit of reunion to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The highlight of this year’s festivities is undoubtedly the return of the traditional Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance after three years of the event being cancelled due to the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the LED Fire Dragon Festival returns to Lee Tung Avenue, where the spectacle of 800 lanterns can be seen lighting up the pedestrianised street.

Lantern carnivals such as those at Victoria Park, Sha Tin Park and Tuen Mun Park are also taking place across the city, providing photo-friendly festive locations for mid-autumn fun-seekers.
