National Day fireworks return
The National Day Fireworks Display will return to Victoria Harbour for the first time in five years, celebrating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Conveying well wishes of prosperity for businesses and symbolising an even brighter future for the city, the 23-minute extravaganza will start at 9pm on October 1.
The fireworks display will be divided into eight scenes, opening with red hearts bursting into the sky to symbolise joy and unity.
Another highlight will showcase happy faces and Bauhinia fireworks, representing the city’s bright hopes for the future as well as resonating with the “Night Vibes Hong Kong” campaign.
The $18 million show is co-ordinated by the Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau and jointly sponsored by HKT and FWD Life Insurance Company (Bermuda).
