Preparations set for holiday arrivals

The Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau convened a meeting today to co-ordinate preparations for visitor arrivals to Hong Kong during the National Day Golden Week.
The meeting was hosted by Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung.
Representatives from the Customs & Excise Department, the Police Force, the Immigration Department, the Transport Department and district offices, as well as from various tourism-related organisations including the Travel Industry Authority, the Tourism Board, the Travel Industry Council and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, attended the meeting.
Mr Yeung said that in anticipation of the increased number of visitors arriving during the National Day Golden Week, government departments and relevant organisations are making early preparations for deployment, and stepping up co-ordination and communication to ensure smooth arrangements throughout the holiday period.
Relevant parties will maintain close communication before the period to plan proactively and take forward preparations for welcoming visitors to the city.
