Japanese group to open music series
Japanese drumming ensemble Kodo will perform in Hong Kong in early September, kicking off the Leisure & Cultural Services Department's Great Music 2023 programme.
Kodo will present to Hong Kong audiences one of its 40th anniversary productions, Warabe, marking the first time the work has been performed outside of Japan.
The performances will be at 7.30pm on September 8 and 9 at the Cultural Centre. Tickets are available at URBTIX.
Additionally, Kodo, together with the local group Refiner Drums, will present a free performance at 2pm on September 10 at the Cultural Centre.
Great Music 2023, which runs from September to November, will bring a host of internationally acclaimed musicians and ensembles to Hong Kong, offering a diverse range of musical performances.
