Govt to acquire Cha Kwo Ling land
The Lands Department today posted notices to resume and acquire land for the development at Cha Kwo Ling Village and ex-Cha Kwo Ling Kaolin Mine Site (Phase 2) in Kowloon East.
A total of 37 private lots with an area of about 2,509 sq m will be resumed, and the land being occupied by three graves with a total area of about 123 sq m will be acquired.
The land will revert to or vest in the Government three months from the date on which the notices are affixed on-site, ie August 19.
The Government said it will closely liaise with the affected parties and handle compensation matters.
The developments at ex-Cha Kwo Ling Kaolin Mine Site (Phase 2) and Cha Kwo Ling Village will provide about 2,250 and 4,500 flats upon completion. Their first batches of population intake are expected in 2030 and 2031 respectively.
