Voter registration drive begins

April 28, 2023

The Registration & Electoral Office (REO) today called on eligible people and bodies who have not yet registered as electors or voters to submit their registration applications on or before June 2.

The REO made the appeal so that eligible citizens could be included in the final registers to be published in September.

Hong Kong permanent residents holding an identity document, who are at least 18 years old and are ordinarily residing in Hong Kong, are eligible to register as geographical constituency (GC) electors.

There is no need for registered electors or voters to register again, but if there are any changes in registration particulars, they must notify the REO by June 2.

Application forms for new registration as GC electors or change of residential address by registered electors must be submitted along with proof of address.

Applicants who are the registered occupants of public rental housing under the Housing Department or subsidised housing under the Housing Society do not need to submit a proof of address.

Members of the public may check their registration status and registration particulars at the Voter Registration website or by calling the REO hotline 2891 1001.

Application forms for new registration and change of registration particulars can be obtained from the REO, District Offices, the management offices of public housing estates or online.

Completed forms can be submitted to the REO by post at 13/F, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, by fax at 2891 1180, by email to form@reo.gov.hk or via the REO e-Form Upload Platform.
