Xia Baolong meets HK community

Vice Chairman of the 13th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Director of the State Council’s Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office Xia Baolong today continued his visit to Hong Kong.
 
Accompanied by Chief Executive John Lee and Secretary for Home & Youth Affairs Alice Mak, Mr Xia enjoyed yumcha in Kowloon Bay with district personalities in an effort to learn about the local situation and have in-depth exchanges concerning district issues.
 
He then toured the Sham Shui Po District Health Centre with Mr Lee and Acting Secretary for Health Dr Libby Lee to ascertain the development of and future plans on the city’s primary healthcare services.
 
Afterwards, he visited the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council’s Shamshuipo District Elderly Community Centre with Mr Lee and Secretary for Labour & Welfare Chris Sun where he was briefed on services for the elderly and chatted with senior citizens.
 
In the afternoon, Mr Xia, accompanied by the Chief Executive, met Chief Justice Andrew Cheung and the leadership of the various levels of court at the Court of Final Appeal.
 
In the company of Secretary for Justice Paul Lam, he also had an exchange session with the Law Society.
 
Additionally, Mr Xia and Mr Lee met Hong Kong Special Administrative Region deputies to the National People’s Congress, Hong Kong SAR members of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and other prominent figures of the community with the goal of listening to their views.
 
Mr Xia will carry on with his Hong Kong visit tomorrow.
