Tony Yau to be water supplies chief

Principal Government Engineer Tony Yau will become Director of Water Supplies on January 4.

The Government today announced that Principal Government Engineer Tony Yau will take up the post of Director of Water Supplies on January 4, 2023, when serving director Lo Kwok-wah starts his pre-retirement leave.

 

Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung said Mr Yau has proven leadership and management skills as well as profound professional knowledge.

 

She is confident that Mr Yau will be able to lead the Water Supplies Department to meet the challenges ahead and continue to deliver quality services to the community.

 

At the same time, Mrs Yeung lauded Mr Lo for serving with dedication and professionalism in the civil service throughout the past 34 years, adding that he has led the department to face many challenges and excel in the provision of reliable, adequate and quality water services.

 

She also wished Mr Lo a fulfilling and happy retirement.
