Chief Executive John Lee said there are many positive comments about the performance of the Government and some of the measures outlined in his Policy Address.
Ahead of the Executive Council meeting this morning, Mr Lee said he noted that some people living in subdivided flats expressed their wish to move into Light Public Housing units.
“People are very keen, particularly those who are living in subdivided flats, to see how they can have a chance to move into our Light Public Housing units, which will immediately, or very quickly, help them to get away from the very undesirable living conditions they are facing every day.”
He also learnt that some people are interested in those measures attracting talent and enterprises to Hong Kong.
“There are also people who are very positive about the recommended measures such as attracting talent from overseas. Some are very interested to know whether they are also beneficiaries of these measures - for those who are now abroad.
“And of course, there are very strong, supportive comments about developing Hong Kong into an innovation and technology hub.
“We will work very hard to ensure that all we have promised to do, will be delivered,” he added.
