4 jab stations to open Sep 30
Four additional COVID-19 vaccination stations, at Lai Chi Kok Park and another three private clinics, will be set up on September 30 to provide more convenient vaccination services to the public, the Government announced today.
The community vaccination station (CVC) located at the open space off the Lai Chi Kok Park Swimming Pool will provide Sinovac vaccination services to people aged six months or above, from 9am to 6pm daily starting September 30.
The three new private clinic jab stations, in Tuen Mun, Quarry Bay and Central, will provide Sinovac vaccination for people aged six months or above and BioNTech vaccination for those aged 12 or above.
Online reservations for all four new stations can be made starting from 9am tomorrow. People aged 60 or above may collect a same-day ticket for vaccination without an appointment.
Meanwhile, the CVCs at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Sports Centre, Leighton Centre and the Hong Kong Spinners Industrial Building will operate until noon on September 30.
Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung said the Lai Chi Kok Park CVS, retrofitted from two containers, is well equipped and in compliance with all requirements, and is suitable for providing vaccination services.
She noted that the Government has added a platform, an overhead cover and a ramp for easy access of wheelchairs at the park’s CVC to provide a more comfortable vaccination environment for members of the public.
The Government plans to set up in phases additional CVSs in Wong Tai Sin, North Point and Yuen Long after the Lai Chi Kok Park CVS starts its operation, Mrs Yeung added.
