45 virus cases in restricted areas

Inland Revenue Department staff take part in the restriction-testing declaration operation at Ching Chak House, including the distribution of food packs and anti-epidemic proprietary Chinese medicines.
The Government today announced that 45 COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Sheung Shui and Sha Tin.
It made restriction-testing declarations yesterday to cover Ching Chak House of Ching Ho Estate in Sheung Shui and Yiu Wing House of Yiu On Estate in Sha Tin.
At Ching Chak House where around 1,680 people underwent testing, nine positive cases and eight indeterminate cases were detected.
For Yiu Wing House, 36 out of 1,219 people tested positive for the virus. There were also 26 indeterminate cases in the building.
The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
