130 virus cases in restricted areas

The Government today announced that 130 COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Pok Fu Lam, Sham Shui Po, Lai Chi Kok and Sha Tin.

 

It made restriction-testing declarations yesterday to cover Wah King House of Wah Fu (II) Estate in Pok Fu Lam, Chak Tin House of Pak Tin Estate in Sham Shui Po, 1-3 Mount Sterling Mall at Mei Foo Sun Chuen Phase 7 in Lai Chi Kok, and Pok Yat House of Pok Hong Estate in Sha Tin.

 

At Wah King House where around 1,300 people underwent testing, 52 positive COVID-19 cases and four indeterminate cases were detected.

 

Having tested about 543 people at Chak Tin House, 11 positive cases were identified.

 

Regarding 1-3 Mount Sterling Mall, 10 people were found positive for the virus after testing 277 people.

 

As for Pok Yat House, 57 out of 1,544 people tested positive. There were also 19 indeterminate cases.

 

The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
