Helpers' quarantine hotels changed

March 10, 2022

The Government today announced that Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin and Rambler Garden Hotel, which currently serve as designated quarantine facilities for foreign domestic helpers, will be redeployed for another anti-epidemic uses.

The two hotels will inform those affected and make arrangements for helpers who are either staying or planning to undergo compulsory quarantine there.

For helpers staying in Courtyard by Marriott who will finish their quarantine by tomorrow and those staying in Rambler who will end their quarantine on or before March 19, they can continue to stay in the hotels to complete their quarantine.

Helpers who have made reservations to stay in the two hotels on or before March 18 will be transferred to Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung and Empire Hotel Causeway Bay, Hong Kong to continue their quarantine. Employers or employment agencies do not need to separately reserve a room for such helpers to finish their remaining quarantine period.

For helpers who have booked Courtyard by Marriott or Rambler for quarantine on or after March 19, the paid room fees will be fully refunded. Employers or agencies should make room reservations for such helpers at other designated quarantine hotels or facilities.
