The Commerce & Economic Development Bureau today said the task force of ensuring medical supplies led by Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Edward Yau has received more than 19 million rapid antigen test kits.

Of these test kits, except those reserved for compulsory universal testing, more than 12 million kits have been distributed to members of the public in various districts as well as specified high-risk and target groups.

More than 370,000 pulse oximeters received by the task force have all been distributed to the Department of Health (DH) and the Hospital Authority (HA) for patient use.

Additionally, the task force has received over 37 million N95 and KN95 masks. While the masks are reserved mainly for public use during compulsory universal testing for enhancing protection, about one million of them have been delivered to DH and disciplined services frontline staff.

The task force is also receiving a total of 450,000 boxes of anti-epidemic proprietary Chinese medicines, including the batch arriving in Hong Kong progressively. Among them, 170,000 boxes have been given to Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link and local organisations for distribution to the community.

The remaining proprietary Chinese medicines are being distributed to those receiving treatment at 18 Chinese medicine clinics under the HA and people who tested positive at isolation facilities.
