The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today announced that with the central government’s assistance, it will construct community isolation and treatment facilities at five places.

The five sites at Lok Ma Chau Loop, Tam Mei in Yuen Long, the former site of The Boxes in San Tin, Hung Shui Kiu near Kai Pak Ling Road, and Tsing Yi Town Lot No. 200, have been passed to the construction team to start works.

The Hong Kong SAR Government is finalising the detailed design and the scale of the projects with the construction team, aiming to complete the works as soon as possible to cater for the needs of anti-epidemic work.

It also thanked Sun Hung Kai Properties and Henderson Land Development for lending their private land for free and handing over the sites speedily so that construction works could begin promptly.
