The Government today announced that 61 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were identified during the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Aberdeen and Sha Tin.
It made a restriction-testing declaration last night to cover Wah Yu House, Wah Fu (I) Estate in Aberdeen, where around 730 people were tested.
For Lee Shing House, Lee On Estate in Sha Tin, which was put under a restriction-testing declaration on February 13, the exercise was run until this afternoon. Citizens there had to undergo two rounds of virus test, and around 3,720 people were tested.
Thirteen preliminary positive cases were found in Wah Yu House, while 48 such cases and 10 indeterminate cases were detected in Lee Shing House. The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on such cases.
In the subsequent enforcement operations, around 490 people’s test records were checked and no one was found to have not undergone testing.
