13 virus cases found in Tuen Mun

Government staff register people subject to compulsory testing in Kai Tak.

 

The Government today announced that 13 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were detected in Hing Ping House, Tai Hing Estate in Tuen Mun.

 

It made a restriction-testing declaration on February 3 to cover the housing block and extended the period of operation to today. A total of 5,388 people were tested.

 

The Government also made restriction-testing declarations yesterday to cover various buildings in different districts.

 

Four preliminary positive cases were found in Blocks 1-3 and 5-9 of K. City in Kai Tak and another four in the designated buildings in Sham Shui Po.

 

Two preliminary positive cases were found in Block 14 of Tsui Chuk Garden in Wong Tai Sin, while no positive cases were found in Tower 1 of Yuk Ming Towers in Sai Ying Pun.

 

The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on each of the cases found.

 

The Government has assigned staff to visit the households in the restricted areas and will check on those who did not undergo compulsory testing.
