Quarantine exemption resumed

January 30, 2022

The Government today announced that from January 31, anyone arriving from the Zhuhai Port to Hong Kong through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will be exempted from compulsory quarantine under the Return2hk or Come2hk Scheme.

Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai in Guangdong Province is no longer designated as one of the at-risk places that are temporarily inapplicable under the Return2hk and Come2hk schemes.

The online booking systems of the two schemes will be open from January 31 for quota application for people entering Hong Kong from the Zhuhai Port through the bridge.

The Government reminds all arrivals in Hong Kong under the Return2hk Scheme and the Come2hk Scheme would still be subject to compulsory tests on specified dates under the established requirements of the schemes. They should also exercise self-monitoring of their health conditions upon arrival.
