New quarantine facilities set
The Labour Department today announced that from February 6 and March 1, O’Hotel and iclub Ma Tau Wai Hotel will become a designated quarantine facility for foreign domestic helpers coming to work in Hong Kong.
They will provide an additional 491 rooms in total, bringing the total number of hotel rooms serving as a designated quarantine facility for helpers to 2,779.
Room reservations for O’Hotel and iclub Ma Tau Wai Hotel can be made through the online booking system from 10am on February 4 and 9, at a room fee of $650 and $750 per night, including three meals and all charges.
The helper’s passport copy, valid employment visa and a recognised vaccination record must be provided at the time of booking.
Helpers will also need to provide such documents when they check into the facility.
Separately, the department announced that the room fee at Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin, currently providing 500 rooms for helper quarantine, will be adjusted to $850 per night from March 8.
