January 7, 2022
Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) Simon Peh today apologised for placing an additional burden on the epidemic prevention work in relation to a brief visit to a restaurant in Wan Chai on January 3.
He apologised to the central government, the Chief Executive, ICAC colleagues and all citizens of Hong Kong.
Mr Peh said he visited the restaurant shortly after 6pm and left after a few words of congratulations to a friend without having a meal.
“I will fully co-operate with arrangements made by the Centre for Health Protection and undergo quarantine at Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre,” he added.
