Health record system upgraded
The Government has further enhanced the registration process for joining the Electronic Health Record Sharing System (eHRSS) and the eHealth mobile app's functions to facilitate people to keep and use their COVID-19 vaccination records.
The process for joining the eHRSS for people aged below 16 has been enhanced, so they can join the system more conveniently through the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
Parents or guardians only need to submit eHRSS applications online for their children aged below 16 and show the printouts of the registration confirmation together with the children's original identification document when they receive vaccination.
Parents can also access their children's COVID-19 vaccination records via the eHealth mobile app.
Additionally, citizens may use the eHealth mobile app to display the QR code of their vaccination records when they enter catering or scheduled premises which require completion of COVID-19 vaccination.
The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has updated the QR Code Verification Scanner app accordingly to enable users to read QR codes shown on the eHealth mobile app. Premises operators are required to update the scanning app.
The Food & Health Bureau said the eHealth mobile app supports iOS, Android and Huawei mobile devices, and the vaccination record QR code meets the relevant specifications for authentication and requirements for security and privacy protection.
