The Government announced today that one hotel will be added to the fourth cycle of the Designated Quarantine Hotel Scheme, bringing the number of quarantine hotels in that cycle to 34.

The additional temporary hotel is Dorsett Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.

More than 9,300 rooms will be provided by the 34 hotels in the fourth cycle of the scheme which runs from June 20 to August 31.

In response to strong demand for hotel rooms in the past couple of weeks, approval has been given to designated quarantine hotels with blocked-off rooms to release around 1,400 such rooms.

Together with the additional temporary hotel, the total supply of designated quarantine hotel rooms will be boosted to around 10,700.
