The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating one additional COVID-19 case.

The imported case involves a 43-year-old man who arrived from the United Arab Emirates.

Those who resided or worked in the same building as local COVID-19 cases with the N501Y mutant strain and had been released from quarantine centres are reminded to receive compulsory testing on days three, seven, 12 and 19 following the announcement of the relevant cases.

They will also be required to undergo self-monitoring until day 21. Click here for details.

In relation to the previous local cases involving the N501Y mutant strain, those who had been at six specified premises during the specified period had to undergo additional testing.

These premises, together with 11 schools where outbreaks of upper respiratory tract infection and/or influenza-like illness had occurred, are covered in the compulsory testing notice.

Meanwhile, specified people in relation to Beauty Mansion, 69-71A Kimberley Road in Yau Tsim Mong and Block R, Allway Gardens in Tsuen Wan are reminded to undergo compulsory testing on May 15.

A total of 47 cases have been reported in the past 14 days, including nine local cases, of which one is from an unknown infection source.

The Government will set up more mobile specimen collection stations in designated locations and extend the service period of certain stations.
