The second shipment of about 300,000 doses of the BioNTech vaccine, filled and finished at another plant in Germany, arrived in Hong Kong this morning as arranged by Fosun Pharma.

The first shipment of the same batch of the BioNTech vaccine arrived on April 2.

Staff carried out stringent checks and inspections on the vaccine to ensure that it complied with the product specifications and that the transportation process followed the relevant cold-chain requirements.

The vaccine was placed in validated ultra-low temperature freezers to ensure its proper storage in accordance with the temperature specified by the drug manufacturer.
