Wong Tai Sin mobile testing set

December 3, 2020

The Government has arranged for a testing agency to set up a mobile specimen collection station in Wong Tai Sin Square to provide free COVID-19 testing services from tomorrow.

The station’s operating hours are from 10am to 8pm. It will tentatively operate until December 10.

Testing agency Hong Kong Molecular Pathology Diagnostic Centre will provide specimen collection services by combined nasal and throat swabs.

The mobile specimen collection stations set up earlier in Tsuen Wan, Sai Kung and Tai Po will continue to operate until further notice, while the one in Kowloon City will run until tomorrow.

Those who are subject to compulsory testing and undergo testing at the mobile specimen collection stations will be deemed to have undergone a test at a community testing centre.

People whose test results are negative will be informed by SMS.

Those with positive results will be referred to the Department of Health’s Public Health Laboratory Services Branch for a confirmatory test. Confirmed cases will be followed up and announced by the Centre for Health Protection.

The Government urged all individuals who are in doubt about their own health condition or with an infection risk, such as those who had visited places with epidemic outbreaks or had contact with confirmed cases, to undergo testing promptly.
