The Leisure & Cultural Services Department today announced that the Che Kung Temple Sports Centre will open for public use on September 17.

It is the seventh indoor sports centre in Sha Tin District and spans 6,200 sq m.

The centre’s multi-purpose arena can serve as two basketball courts, two volleyball courts or eight badminton courts.

It features a dance room, activity room, table tennis room, fitness room and a children’s play room.

Located at 10 Sha Tin Tau Road, the sports centre is easily accessible from the nearby MTR Che Kung Temple Station and Chun Shek Bus Terminus.

It will be open from 7am to 11pm daily, except on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, when it will be closed from 7am to 1pm for regular maintenance.

The public can reserve the centre’s fee charging facilities online from September 16.
