The Social Welfare Department today said all commissioned home care services teams have taken measures in light of the recent social situation to deliver meal services to elderly people in need.

The department issued the statement in response to an online appeal regarding meal delivery services for the elderly.

The statement said the department has contacted the 95 commissioned home care services teams to enquire about their meal delivery services.

Having regard to the recent social situation, the teams have arranged manpower and taken measures to deliver these services, it added.

In case members of the public come across elderly people who failed to receive such services, they can call the department at 2343 2255.
