Customs officers seize drugs worth about $4 million in Tsuen Wan.

Customs officers today seized 3kg of crack cocaine, 1kg of ketamine, 460 ecstasy tablets, 240 nimetazepam tablets and 10g of cannabis worth about $4 million.

 

During an anti-narcotics operation in Tsuen Wan, officers arrested a 26-year-old man after finding crack cocaine and ketamine inside a plastic bag he was carrying.

 

Officers escorted the man to a nearby hotel room where they seized more crack cocaine and ketamine as well as ecstasy, nimetazepam, cannabis and drug packaging paraphernalia.

 

An investigation is ongoing.

 

The maximum penalty upon conviction for trafficking in dangerous drugs is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
