Lau Kong-wah visits SSP

Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah (right) tours the Savannah College of Art & Design Hong Kong.

 

Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah today attended the opening ceremony of a project completed under Sham Shui Po's Signature Project Scheme during a visit to the district.

     

Mr Lau first inspected the sites of two proposed construction works, including the Lai Chi Kok Sports Centre, as well as a covering over the walkway near Lai Chi Kok Park.

      

Mr Lau then officiated at the opening ceremony of the Sham Shui Po District Council Yan Oi Tong Mei Foo Neighbourhood Activity Centre and toured its facilities, including a dance room, a multi-purpose activity room and a piano room.

 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, he said the centre is one of the projects under the Signature Project Scheme to provide diversified leisure, culture and art activities to local residents.

     

Mr Lau also toured the Savannah College of Art & Design Hong Kong and met its students.

     

Before concluding the visit, he visited the Music Children Foundation to watch a choir rehearsal and meet with volunteers and children.

 

Mr Lau also met Sham Shui Po District Councillors.
