The Fire Services Department held an official funeral service with full honours for late Senior Station Officer Thomas Cheung at Hung Hom Universal Funeral Parlour today.
He died in the Ngau Tau Kok fire on June 21.
Chief Executive CY Leung, Chief Secretary Carrie Lam, Financial Secretary John Tsang, Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen and other senior officials attended the funeral.
The Service Contingent paraded outside the funeral parlour for people to pay their respects. The hearse then arrived at Ngau Tau Kok Road where an on-site ceremony was held.
It then proceeded to the Fire & Ambulance Services Academy where the Service Contingent paraded as a final tribute.
The cortege then passed the Tai Po Fire Station where Officer Cheung was stationed and left for Gallant Garden at Wo Hop Shek Cemetery for the burial service.
