The Security Bureau's Narcotics Division and the Action Committee Against Narcotics today held an anti-drug publicity event in Central.
Commissioner for Narcotics Erika Hui said she wants to raise the public's drug abuse awareness.
"Before the Christmas and New Year celebrations we hope to remind young people that even when they are enjoying the holidays they can enjoy the lively atmosphere without drugs - to remember taking drugs is harmful to their health," she said.
Police distributed anti-drug leaflets and publicity materials to passers-by in Lan Kwai Fong and other entertainment areas like Soho and PMQ.
