Police appeal to people in Mong Kok to exercise restraint and comply with the Police officers’ instructions, and reiterate that they would take decisive enforcement action against law breakers.

Chaos and confrontations occurred in the vicinity of the junction of Shanghai Street and Shantung Street in the early morning today, and the crowds provoked Police officers.

Police will not tolerate any acts that endanger public order and safety. They urge people to express their views in a rational and peaceful manner, and to leave the scene as soon as possible.
